ABOUT THE WORK

The helmet occupies the center with full frontal emphasis, enclosing the figure behind a rigid surface. The gaze is present but inaccessible, held within the circular frame of the glass.

Color reorganizes the image. The red and yellow fields cut across the form, flattening depth and shifting the helmet from object to sign. The painted surface interrupts continuity, forcing the image into a constructed, graphic presence.

The work is produced through a layered process: a photograph is printed, painted with acrylic, and reprinted, merging the original image with its transformation.
