ABOUT THE WORK

The form remains centered and enclosed, with the helmet sealing the figure behind a fixed frontal surface. No entry point is offered; the image holds at a distance despite its direct gaze.

Color disrupts this containment. The saturated background and garment press forward, flattening depth and shifting the image into a constructed plane. The helmet persists as an anchor, while the surrounding surface becomes unstable through paint.

The work is produced through a layered process: a photograph is printed, painted with acrylic, and reprinted, binding image and intervention into a single object.
