A foreground figure occupies the left edge of the Volissos interior, partially separating the frame, while a central group holds position beyond. A fifth body appears deeper, contained within a broken opening that extends the space.
This fragmentation structures the image through interruption. The planes do not resolve into a unified field, but remain divided, shifting the work from grouped presence to a layered system where each position operates independently within the structure.
Part of the Caryatis series, a long-term body of work exploring traditional Greek costume through directed portraiture.
