A narrow incline directs the movement upward, held between opposing walls that compress the space into a single path. The dark gate interrupts the entry, while the railing and stone base extend the line toward the upper edge, where the sky remains largely withheld.
The image advances through restriction. The passage does not open outward but continues under constraint, allowing only one direction. This imposed route defines the work, concentrating attention and removing any lateral escape.
