Photographed in Diafani, Olympos, Karpathos, this work is part of the Caryatis series.
A central figure establishes immediate presence, facing directly outward, while a second layer of women forms behind her. The image is constructed through hierarchy—one dominant plane, supported by a collective presence that reinforces, rather than competes.
The composition holds through stillness. There is no gesture, no narrative action—only position, alignment, and the weight of form.
Garment, ornament, and repetition create density across the frame. The environment recedes, allowing the structure of the figures to define the image entirely.
Part of Caryatis, a long-term body of work exploring traditional Greek costume through directed portraiture.
This work is produced as a limited edition physical piece, not an open reproduction.
