A foreground figure occupies the left edge of the Kardamyla interior, turned away and forming a dark barrier that partially obstructs the scene. Beyond this, a seated body anchors the center while three figures extend toward the right across increasing depth.
This obstruction structures the image through separation. The foreground interrupts direct access, while the remaining figures unfold in sequence, shifting the composition from unified grouping to a layered system where each position holds independent weight.
Part of the Caryatis series, a long-term body of work exploring traditional Greek costume through directed portraiture.
