A foreground figure occupies the left edge of the Elata interior, set close to the frame and partially turned away, while two bodies hold position deeper along the right wall. The grouping is compact, anchored to the architecture, and separated from the foreground by a clear spatial break.
This separation is governed by directional light. The window fixes a point of illumination that organizes the scene, shifting the image from a unified arrangement to a layered structure where position is defined through light and distance.
Part of the Caryatis series, a long-term body of work exploring traditional Greek costume through directed portraiture.
