This enchanting island, with its elevated capital designed to repel pirate attacks, boasts a picturesque landscape adorned with traditional Cycladic architecture. The town, gracefully encircling a commanding castle, offers breathtaking views of the surrounding archipelago.

A Perfect Encounter: The Quest for Authenticity

During my exploration of Astypalaea, I set out to find an interior space that encapsulated the island's traditional character. After miles of searching, an unexpected encounter with a friendly German resident provided a serendipitous solution. His friend's house, also owned by a German resident, proved to be the ideal setting—a remarkable fusion of local charm and international connection.

The Traditional Astypalaea Costume: A Timeless Expression
