Bodies advance and recede against the stone field, held within a terrain that both contains and separates them. The forward figure anchors the front, while the others withdraw into the landscape, establishing distance as the governing force across the frame.
The structure is set through this separation. Each figure holds a fixed position within the space, shifting the image from a unified group into a controlled sequence where presence is distributed and weighted through depth.
Part of the Caryatis series, a long-term body of work exploring traditional Greek costume through directed portraiture.
