Photographed in Santorini, this black and white image is structured around balance between solid mass and open space.
The composition is defined by a large vertical wall occupying the right side of the frame. A curved roof form extends horizontally in the midground, while a narrow passage descends toward the left. A small plant element is contained within a recess, introducing a localized interruption.
The environment consists of simplified Cycladic architecture. Surfaces are continuous and smooth, with minimal openings. The built forms are reduced to essential volumes, without decorative elements.
The relationship between elements is based on separation. The dark open space on the left contrasts with the illuminated architectural mass on the right. The curved form acts as a transitional element between these two conditions.
Light is directional and controlled. It isolates the wall and curved roof, creating a clear distinction from the darker background. The rendering emphasizes clean tonal divisions and surface continuity.
