A mirror within the Filiates interior introduces a second field of presence, where figures appear both directly and through reflection. The space extends beyond its physical limits, holding multiple positions at once.
This duplication restructures the image. Presence is no longer singular or fixed, but repeated across planes, creating a system where each figure exists simultaneously in more than one location.
Part of the Caryatis series, a long-term body of work exploring traditional Greek costume through directed portraiture.
