Figures occupy successive depths within the Filiates interior, held across a sequence of rooms that extend beyond a single plane. The foreground anchors the image, while additional bodies appear through openings, establishing a progression rather than a fixed grouping.
This progression structures the image through interval. Each layer introduces a separate field of presence, shifting the work from a contained scene to a spatial sequence where distance defines order.
Part of the Caryatis series, a long-term body of work exploring traditional Greek costume through directed portraiture.
